Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I received notice of a use tax from XXXX County Illinois of {$200.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a letter of dispute to XXXX County. I received no reply to this letter. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice from Penn Credit representing XXXX County indicating that I now owed {$230.00} for the use tax. I paid them {$230.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX indicating that I owed {$52.00} ( {$2.00} tax {$50.00} interest and penalties ). An administrative hearing was scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX. I ed the XXXX XXXX XXXX and disputed the charges with XXXX. She told me to send an email to XXXX XXXX of Penn Credit with all relevant information. I sent 3 emails on XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I received no replies. I was unable to attend the administrative hearing because my wife was discharged from the hospital as a XXXX XXXX requiring 24 hour care. I have since received a letter effectively stating that I now owe {$100.00}. I am filing a complaint regarding Penn Credit for failure to provide timely and adequate information for me to resolve this dispute. They have been completely unresponsive to my inquiries.
